But the Fringes!!!

Last weekend I was driving up to visit some friends near where I went to college, and when I'm driving always find that I can focus on prayer better for some reason. So usually I spend a lot of time praying on long trips.
I usually follow a format of prayer similar to ACTS. So anyway I was driving and praying; praising God for what He's done in my life and reflecting on all the ways I've seen Him and His power.
I've seen a lot of His power in my life and through the Word and other people's lives. One of my favorite Bible stories to reach and preach on is Mark 4 where Jesus rebukes the wind and says to the waves " Quiet. Be Still!!!" and they obeyed Him. If you think about it, that's a massive display of power. Healing the blind and sick, raising the dead, raising yourself from the dead, defeating evil, and the list goes on!!! All these things are a demonstration of the power of God!! But..... and this is a pretty big butt!!!!
Jeremiah puts it all in to perspective in Chpt. 26:14 with these words,
"And these are but the outer fringe of his works;
how faint the whisper we hear of him!
Who then can understand the thunder of his power?"

What!!!! All the things I've seen God do. All the things we've seen God do. The amazing things, answers to prayer, wayward children coming to know the Lord!! Amazing things!! Isaiah 40 gives a vivid description of some of the things God can do as well as Job when God is putting Job in his place by explaining to him that Job doesn't know all. And asking questions like, " do you know the storehouse of the deep? Do you lie in wait with the line as it searches for it's prey? Do you spread out the wings of the eagle as it soars on the wind? Do you tell lightning where to go? Do you know the way to the abode of light?" I'm jumping around in verses here but the meaning is clear.
But all of that is still, but the outer fringe of His ways. In other words, you think all of the things you've seen me do or read about are huge. You haven't seen nothin' yet!!!! I can do things, I'm able to do things the likes of which you've never seen!!!
When God revealed that to me in the car, I was like, "WHOOOOOAAAAAAAA!!!!" I'm pretty sure I almost ran of the road!!!
If you think about it, God is over-qualified to be God. I don't say that irreverently but in a human way it's true. God has way more ability than our needs require. Not just you and all the people you know, but all of the people, at all times, that you didn't, don't and won't know. "
